Lindsay Elgin is a professional photographer in Providence, Rhode Island. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Amherst College, an MFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design, and an MLIS from Simmons College.

She currently works as a photographer at Brown University in their university library, digitizing rare books, documents, and objects from their special collections. Lindsay teaches digital photography in RISD|CE’s digital photography certificate program. She served as advisor to this program for 10 years before leaving to pursue a second graduate degree.

Lindsay also works with other artists, small businesses, and independent clients to help digitize their artwork, products, and personal collections. She has a great deal of experience in digitizing a wide range of media, from photographs and books to three-dimensional objects including china, jewelry, artists’ books and albums.
